What to Expect

A woman with long dark hair, wearing a black headband and striped dress, is engaging with a group of children, drawing their attention and showing excitement.

Initial Consultation

The process begins with an initial consultation where I meet with you to discuss your family’s needs and expectations. This meeting allows us to get to know each other and ensures that I can provide the best possible care tailored to your children. During this consultation, we will cover:

  • Your child's routine, preferences, and any specific needs.

  • Your expectations regarding duties and responsibilities.

  • Emergency procedures and contact information.

  • Any allergies or medical conditions your child may have.

Background and References

I understand the importance of trust when hiring a nanny. To provide you with peace of mind, I will share:

  • My CV, detailing my qualifications and experience.

  • Impeccable references from previous families I have worked with.

  • Proof of my DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.

  • My First Aid Certificate.

Trial Period

To ensure a good fit, we can arrange a trial period where I spend time with your children while you are present. This period allows your children to get comfortable with me and for you to observe how I interact with them. It also provides an opportunity fine-tune routines and preferences.

Daily Routine and Communication

I believe in maintaining open and transparent communication with parents. You can expect:

  • Daily updates on your child’s activities, meals, naps, and any notable events.

  • Regular discussions to review and adjust routines as needed.

Engaging Activities

I strive to make each day fun and educational for your children. Expect:

  • Age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development.

  • Creative and engaging playtime, both indoors and outdoors.

  • Reading, arts and crafts, and other activities that align with your child’s interests.

Flexibility and Reliability

Life with children can be unpredictable, and I am here to provide flexible and reliable support. You can expect:

  • Punctuality and consistency in my schedule.

  • Willingness to adapt to changes in routines or special requests.

  • Support for late nights, weekends, or travel if needed.
